Health
insurance UK - information
When
joining the uk private health insurance scheme
it will not be necessary to undergo a medical examination –
this is the “moratorium option” where any condition
which you may have had in the previous five years will not be included
under the policy. After the first two years of your new private
health insurance uk policy however, certain conditions from
the previous five years will be fully covered provided you haven’t
received treatment etc within the first two years of the new policy.
This may seem rather complicated at the minute but all will be explained
in detail and the information sent to you along with your quote.
You
cannot simply choose any hospital in the uk under this policy, however,
there are many companies which provide these services all of which
can offer you a list of different hospitals which you can attend.
In most case you will want to receive treatment as close to home
as possible so the list will be catered for you showing those high
quality hospitals which are available to you in your local area.
For specialist cases however, it may be necessary to move to a more
specialist hospital which could be further away from your home.
There
are no age restrictions on the policies offered. So you can get
private coverage no matter what age you are. Naturally, the costs
will vary depending on what age you are.
If
you are dealing with a family package it may be unclear to you exactly
what family member this will entail. Normally, any sums which you
receive on your quotation will be based around a family involving
two adults and two children. If any additional children are to be
added this will be catered for by supplementary charge per extra
child to be added. In the case of a single parent family, the rates
will normally be based around one adult and up to two children with
the same situation again regarding the additional adage of other
children etc.
